About the Role
As Senior Poetry Editor, you'll lead our poetry editorial program — curating anthology selections, editing member submissions, and shaping the literary voice of Ink Speaks. You'll work closely with our poetry community, mentor emerging poets, and help us publish work that matters.
Responsibilities
- Curate and edit quarterly poetry anthology submissions
- Lead the editorial review committee for poetry publications
- Mentor emerging poets through our Creator and Pro programs
- Collaborate with the Workshop Director on poetry curriculum
- Manage relationships with guest poets and contributors
- Write editorial introductions and commentary for publications
- Represent Ink Speaks at literary festivals and events
Requirements
- 5+ years of editorial experience in poetry or literary publishing
- Published poet with at least one full-length collection
- MFA in Poetry or Creative Writing (or equivalent experience)
- Deep knowledge of contemporary and historical poetry traditions
- Excellent communication and mentorship skills
- Experience with digital publishing platforms
- Passion for nurturing emerging voices
