About the Role
You'll guide our Pro members through the publishing landscape — from manuscript preparation to agent queries to navigating contracts and beyond. Your insider knowledge of the industry will help our writers make informed decisions about their publishing paths.
Responsibilities
- Conduct monthly one-on-one publishing consultations with Pro members
- Review and provide feedback on query letters and proposals
- Lead quarterly seminars on publishing industry trends
- Maintain and curate our agent and publisher network
- Develop publishing guides and resource materials
- Advise on both traditional and self-publishing paths
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in book publishing
- Former literary agent, acquiring editor, or published author
- Deep knowledge of current publishing market and trends
- Strong network of industry contacts
- Excellent coaching and mentorship skills
- Experience with both traditional and independent publishing
