About the Role
You'll be the heart and connective tissue of Ink Speaks — building, nurturing, and growing our global community of writers. From moderating forums to organizing events to amplifying member voices, you'll ensure every writer who joins feels welcomed, supported, and inspired.
Responsibilities
- Manage and moderate community forums and discussion spaces
- Welcome new members and facilitate onboarding
- Organize and promote community events and challenges
- Manage social media channels and content calendar
- Gather and synthesize member feedback for the team
- Coordinate with editorial and education teams on community programming
- Build partnerships with other literary organizations
Requirements
- 3+ years of community management experience
- Genuine passion for writing and the literary community
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with community platforms and social media
- Empathetic, patient, and culturally sensitive approach
- Ability to handle conflict with grace and professionalism
- Based in or willing to relocate to New York City
